You know what’s hard? Making nice things. Instead of spending too much time picking fonts, colors, css-ing almost perfect alignments, oh and that whole developing the actual blog part, let us help you with our new Next.js blog template from the amazing team at Bejamas.
We teamed up with the talented crew at Bejamas because designing is hard and they are experts. Their site is awesome (take a look for yourself) and when we saw their work we realized we could create an awesome ecosystem collaboration to make the design, development AND the deployment easy for you! The template is built using Next.js, Tailwind, MDX, and has light and dark themes!
Witchcraft and Wizardry
The crew at Bejamas even made a wizard (not like, “You’re a wizard, Harry”, but almost as cool) that lets you customize the blog settings, then deploy the code straight to Netlify. Check it out 👉👉 https://nextjs-wizard.netlify.app/!
You can find the code and more information in the project repo. Like clicking buttons? Here’s one that will clone the project AND deploy it to Netlify for you:
But wait, there’s more…or less?
We were so excited about working with Bejamas and making ecosystem pals that we were going to hype the collaboration with some swag. Then we realized we don’t need more stuff out in the world but we DO need more monetary love for our ecosystem and open source projects.
Charlie Gerard, Prince Wilson, and I came up with the idea to take the swag money and donate it to a OSS project of your choosing. Check out the project repo and click the link to vote for your favorite OSS project!
Go forth and blog
However you decide to make this template your own, we can’t wait to see it! Let us know what you create by tagging us @Netlify. If you have any questions or want to see a template from us feel free to ping us at templates@netlify.com. Thanks & happy coding 👩🏻💻!
