Chris Bach: A lot has happened in the last 10 years since we launched Netlify. An architecture where we were the only ones in the space in the beginning now has huge adoption.
A very important use case is eCommerce. It’s a place where every millisecond counts. It’s a place where trust, quality, and uptime is of the utmost importance.
Markus Dittli: We support processes which completely are digitalized in today’s times. This means starting with the design of the product and selling the product in the end. And caring about the repair and care process.
Dominic Rogers: Technological innovations enable us to keep up with the trends happening so when a user goes from one site and they come to another site then we can have a seamless experience from one to another. We only have a few mins, a few seconds, a few milliseconds until users are elsewhere.
Over the years Mammut has developed lots of sales channels, so we have retailer networks, we have distributors, and then we also have our own stores. And then of course we have Mammut.com as well
Chris Bach: Mammut came to us at a pivotal point in their digital journey, when their brand and their shop really had to stand front and center for them. And they needed to embrace a composable platform in order to deliver on the brand promise of immediacy, and a premium experience online.
Dominic Rogers: Over the years it became apparent we needed more of a brand experience to enable customers globally to be able to experience Mammut online. The challenger was that we weren’t able to really do that with our current stack.
So we changed in 2021 to have a headless setup and we still incorporate parts of our augmented monolithic stack, because of the ability to do so with the headless setup, but then we were also able to have the brand experience that we really wanted.
Chris Bach: We are incredibly proud to be the chosen vendor and partner of Mammut as they build out their digital experiences.
Dominic Rogers: Page speed is of course an extremely important metric and Netlify enables us to have very fast sites because in eCommerce you only have milliseconds until the user has gone somewhere else or they’ve given up and so making sure that we’re not losing customers based on that is essential.
Markus Dittli: When looking forward to the next 3, up to 5 years, looking at our IT landscape the main focus area will be to work on composable architecture.
I am 100% sure that composable architecture is one of the most important architectures of today’s times.
Dominic Rogers: Mammut.com is a growing part of the business and it will continue to grow over the next few years.
