We’re excited to announce that the Netlify Email Integration is now generally available as a production-ready feature for all users in their Netlify sites! With general availability, we’ve implemented useful updates to provide a more streamlined workflow for developers to configure email triggers and edit templates.
The Netlify Email Integration connects Netlify sites with popular, API-driven email services and allows users to manage version-controlled email templates alongside the rest of the project code. With this integration, users can generate email function handlers that populate custom email templates and send emails using a specified email API provider.
You can see a little more detail in this short introductory video:
Which email providers are supported?
At the time of release, the integration supports the following email providers (For an up-to-date list of supported providers, refer to the docs).
What’s New?
- Ability to send attachments
- Ability to add responsive templates with MJML
- Ability to send test email functionality in the email preview UI
- Support for the new environment variables experience
- Support for a much wider range of frameworks
- A new utility function that helps users trigger emails and send all required information for a successful email request

This integration is free for all plans at the moment. This is subject to change in 2023 for the heaviest users. If and when this feature has paid options we will provide clear advance notification in the UI, on our pricing page and directly to customers actively using it.
