Netlify is excited to announce the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Connector for Netlify Connect. The SFCC Connector brings new levels of agility to marketers and developers, unlocking the full potential of Salesforce Commerce Cloud with Netlify Connect. We’ve enabled faster, more flexible, and innovative ecommerce experiences by decoupling frontend development from backend systems. Netlify simplifies workflows with fewer touches and dependencies, making it easier to work and innovate.

With full headless visual editing through Netlify, marketers and merchandisers alike can manage the experience without needing to access the various backends or rely on their developers and engineers to make changes.

What is the Salesforce Commerce Cloud Connector?

The SFCC Connector is a Netlify Connect integration, developed and supported by Netlify. Connect makes data from SFCC accessible via GraphQL alongside data from your CMS like Contentstack, Contentful, or any other data source accessible via an API. Your SFCC data is cached on Netlify’s secure, high-performance CDN for lightning-fast, personalized shopping experiences that engage customers and drive sales.

How does it help?

The SFCC Connector provides marketers and content admins more flexibility to create and edit customer experiences while allowing developers to use their preferred frameworks and tools for maximum freedom and innovation.

Once SFCC is connected to Netlify, you can:

  • Deliver lightning-fast, personalized shopping experiences that engage customers and drive sales. Netlify’s global infrastructure ensures optimal performance, so your storefront always delivers.
  • Connect SFCC to composable websites and apps to improve workflows with Netlify’s first-in-class CI/CD pipelines to automated builds and deployments. Drastically reduced developer toil that results in more flexibility for marketers.
  • Secure your digital storefront through Netlify’s advanced web security features, including Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, PCI compliance, and data privacy safeguards like GDPR, ensuring that your SFCC integration remains secure and compliant with industry standards.

Orium’s Composable Accelerator for Salesforce Commerce Cloud & Netlify

In addition to the SFCC Connector, Netlify is also proud of our continued partnership with Orium to support their Composable Accelerator for Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Building on the success of Orium’s Composable Accelerator for commerce platforms like BigCommerce, Commercetools, and Elastic Path, Orium is expanding its accelerator with support for Salesforce B2C Commerce. Orium’s Composable Accelerator will leverage modern MACH technologies to deliver composable SFCC-powered user experiences all on Netlfy’s high-performance and secure platform.

“Netlify’s platform gives us the power to build fast, adaptable frontends that match the flexibility and scalability of our Composable Accelerator for Salesforce Commerce Cloud. With Netlify’s reliable infrastructure, our clients can rapidly deploy and scale transformative digital experiences, enabling brands to deliver rich, personalized ecommerce experiences at scale.” Everett Zufelt, VP, Product & Partnerships

Netlify vs. Salesforce’s Headless Offering (PWA Kit)

While Salesforce does provide a headless offering for SFCC, Netlify provides a more robust, flexible, and customizable solution. Using Netlify, developers have the freedom to choose their frontend framework with platform primitives, enhancing flexibility and innovation. Netlify offers a comprehensive platform that simplifies the complexity of managing headless commerce sites. From CI/CD pipelines to automated builds and deployments to a visual editor for the most popular CMSs.

It simplifies workflows and helps you go to market faster. Salesforce Commerce Cloud with Netlify makes creating omnichannel experiences with Salesforce fast, flexible, and painless.
